It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 8th May

badge

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

Hope you all had a great week, looking forward to finding out what you have all been reading.

What I read last week:

From my TBR.  I did enjoy this but most likely won't continue on with the series.

  9. I hope you have had a nice beginning to the week so far.

I enjoyed your review of The Chilbury Ladies Choir - thank you!

Kristin Higgins is always a pleasure to read - enjoy that one. I too like to pick books up on a whim, so it was good to see a book you selected from a library shelf.

Enjoy the rest of your week and happy reading!

  12. I've had The Iron Duke on my TBR list for years. I used to read a lot of steampunk like Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate but it doesn't interest me as much these days. I did like The Chilbury Ladies' Choir. It reminded me of the TV series Home Fires.

The Kristan Higgins book looks like fun.

  18. The Iron Duke doesn't look like it'd be a series for me either but am glad you enjoyed it. I love library whims! I've ended up with some really fun books that way. I'm super excited about the Emilie Richards! It looks great. Have a fantastic week!

  21. I liked the Iron Duke but haven't grabbed all the sequels. There are some short stories which have the same flavor but not the time commitment.

  22. I need to try Meljean out again. I've only read her in a novella and those are so hard to judge by (it was in an anthology)
